What is Electrification?

Paul Lippolis, SVP of the Green Energy Services Department at Lippolis Electric, Inc. partnered with Murphy Brothers to sponsor an educational seminar on “E for Electrification” at Westchester Magazine HQ. Paul spoke about LED Lighting Incentive Programs for 2020 while several other speakers demystified the meaning of “electrifying” in today’s building lingo. Below is a brief overview of the seminar:

Industry experts now believe that electrification is our best path to a low-carbon world.  It can be an effective strategy to make the building sector greener, since it removes emissions at the point of use. Builders today are attempting to understand the technical challenges of electrifying existing buildings, industry-standard new construction and industrial processes in an effort to reduce emissions, embrace alternative energy and increase efficiency. The new electrification revolution sees electricians developing ways to generate heat and power using electricity in place of combustion leading to a greener environment.
